if the direct speech is converted into an indirect speech then
if the sentence is an assertive one then "that " is added before this- " part inside inverted commas" is said and every noun or pronoun is converted accordingly And all the tenses are converted to the next tense.
if its interrogate then instead of said asked will be used and that wont be used "if" may be used sometimes.
if exclamatory sentence then exclaimed will be used with the type of feeling
