heyyyy!!
First of all we write the equation of this line
slope is -8/5
equation: y+3 = -8/3(x-1)
3y+9=-8x+8
8x+3y+1=0
this line will be cut by x axis at y=0
at y=0
8x+1=0
x=-1/8
so the point diving it is (-1/8,0)
so we have the formula that of a point (x,y) divides two points In ratio m:1 then
x= (x1 + mx2)/m+1
and y= (y1 + my2)/m+1
here x=-1/8
and y=0
so -1/8= (1-4m)/1+m
and -3+5m= 0
so M=3/5 i.e. x axis divides these points in ratio 3:5
