The radius of circle = 8cm
diameter = 8*2 = 16cm

The diameter of circle = diagonal of square = 16cm
area of square = (diagonal)²/2 = 16²/2 = 128cm²

Let the side of square be s.

Then,

Diagonal of square = V2 a

Thus, we have:

V2 a = 16 cm

a = 16/V2 cm = 8V2 cm

Thus, area of the square = (8 V2 cm)2 = 128 cm2
