Rohit should use glycerin and in it, he should dip a glass rod.

Glycerin and glass rod have very similar refractive indexes.

When two objects with the same refractive index are kept one inside another then they seem to merge, that is, one becomes invisible.

This means that light does not pass into the glycerin and bends on reaching the glass surface.
