The balloon blows up in the first bottle when kept in hot water because carbon dioxide a form.of air is pushed into the balloon by the heat whereas the air cannot rush into the balloon in cold jar because of no heat. The air in the cold water is not allowing the excess air to go into the balloon hence it is deflated or it remains like it was before.
