Past Tense – Time which has passed away and become past. An action which has happened in past relates to Past Tense.

It is used to express an action that is just completed or just happened, normally a short time before speaking. Time of action is not specified but it makes a sense that action is just completed like

– He saw her face. It means that subject has seen her face a short time ago.

It is used to express an action which has completed in past and time (like 3pm, yesterday, last evening, last month, past years) is given in the sentence like - He met her yesterday

It is also used to express old habits also like - Rajkumar always wore white shoes. Normally words "USED TO" is used to express old habits for which we shall learn later - Rajkumar used to wear white shoes.

I hope this will help you
