Concepts :- in redox reaction, one substance is oxidised and other is reduced.

In hydrolysis reaction, form hydroxide after addition of water.

see the attachment , we can see that (i),(ii) are redox reaction and (iii), (iv) and (v) are hydrolysis reaction. (i) pbS + 4H₂O₂ ---> PbSO₄ + 4H₂O => redox reaction

(ii) 2MnO₄⁻ + 5H₂O₂ + 6H⁺ ---> 2Mn⁺ + 8H₂O + 5O₂ => redox reaction

(iii) CaO + H₂O -----> Ca(OH)₂ => Hydrolysis reaction

(iv) AlCl₃ + 6H₂O ----> [Al(OH₂)₆]³⁺ + 3Cl⁻ => hydrolysis reaction

(v) Ca₃N₂ + 6H₂O ----> 3Ca(OH)₂ + 2NH₃ => hydrolysis reaction

Answer:

Concepts :-in redox reaction, one substance is oxidised and other is reduced.

In hydrolysis reaction, form hydroxidei after addition of water.

we can see that (i),(ii)are redox reaction and (iii), (iv) and (v) are hydrolysis reaction.

(i) pbS + 4H202 ---> PbSO4 + 4H.0

=> redox reaction

(ii) 2MnO4- + 5H2O2 + 6H+ ---> 2Mn²+ + 8H20 + 502

=> redox reaction

(iii CaO + H2O--> Ca(OH)2

=> Hydrolysis reaction

(iv) AIC3 + 3H20 ---> Al(OH)3 + 3HCL

=> hydrolysis reaction

(v) Ca3N2 + 6H20 ---> 3Ca(OH)2 + 2NH3

=> hydrolysis reaction
