Hence proved

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Sin a - sin³a / cos a - cos³ a = tan a

From L.H.S

\frac{Sin \ a (1 - Sin^2a)}{Cos\ a (1 - Cos^2 a)} \\\\

We know that;

sin^2a + Cos^2a = 1\\\\Cos^2a = 1- sin^2a\\\\sin^2a = 1-Cos^2a

by putting value in above,

\frac{Sin \ a (cos^2a)}{Cos\ a (sin^2a)} \\\\\\Cos \ a / Sin \ a\\ Cot \ a
