Bonjour!!

In parallelogram ABCD, AD is between longer side and CM is between shorter side.

AB = CD = 10 cm

BC = AD = 15 cm

AD = 6 cm

CM =? cm

Area of parallelogram = Base × Height

Area = BC × AD

= 15 × 6

= 90 cm^2

Area = AB × CM

90 = 10 × CM

CM = 90/10

CM = 9 cm

Hence, the distance between the shorter side is 9 cm.

Thanks :)

3 years ago Rehman’s age =(x–3) years

5 years later Rehman’s age =(x+5) years.

Now, according to the condition,

(x+3)(x–7)=0

Either,x+3=0 Or, x–7=0

Thus, x=7 or –3; but age cannot be negative.

Hence the present age of Rehman is 7 years.
