Length= 4x
breadth =3x

4x X 3x = 6912
x= √576
x= 24
So,
Length= 96

Let the length of the rectangle be x and breadth of the rectangle be y

So,
Area of the rectangle = 6912
Or,
xy = 6912........(1)
Now,

Given that they are in a ratio of 4:3

So,
 \frac{x}{y}  =  \frac{4}{3}  \\   \\ x =  \frac{4y}{3} .........(2)
So,

Putting (2) in equation (1)

We get

xy = 6912 \\  \\  \frac{4y}{3}  \times y = 6912 \\  \\  \frac{4 {y}^{2} }{3}  = 6912 \\  \\ 4 {y}^{2}  = 6912 \times 3 = 20736 \\  \\  {y}^{2}  =  \frac{20736}{4}   \\  \\ y =  \sqrt{ \frac{20736}{4} }  \\  \\ y = \frac{144}{2}   = 72
So,

Breadth of the rectangle is equal to 72 m

Now

Putting the values in equation (1) to get the value of x

x =  \frac{6912}{y}  =  \frac{6912}{72}  = 96 \: m
So,


The value of the length is 96 m
