first of all human being is not an animal.
lets go back to the question
which is the knowledgeable animal in the world?
the knowledgeable animal in the world is
monkey because he copy everything of any human.
a monkey can dance, can walk, can copy every activity of human being.
so i think monkey is the most intelligent and knowledgeable animal in the world.

thank you

Most knowledgeable animal or living being in the known Universe is the human being. There is no doubt about that.

Other living organisms inherit their ancestors' intelligence and also evolve in time. Their knowledge is limited to what they learn in their life time. But man is able to create recording media to document knowledge over decades. We know how to use our knowledge. So we are more knowledgeable than others.

Things like destroying environment and killing animals appear to be idiotic. But we have to understand that human being is very selfish on account of extra intelligence God gave him. People don't sit in a conference to decide not to harm the Earth and it's ecosystem. Rich and powerful persons take decisions to use available knowledge and all available resources on the Earth, to increase assets and power, and earn money.

Measures to protect Earth are very costly and earnings are less. Actually it is a lossy proposition. Which person will spend own money for that purpose?

A person bothers about self and own children. But he will not think of three generations later. Thinking of that will will hinder his present progress.

The manufacturing processes, habits of people, cooking methods, transporting systems, foods eaten, fashionable and decorative cultures that are followed by us all are enemies of ecosystem. It's not done by a decision by humanity. It's done by corporate and industrial progress. It can not be controlled easily by law. Corruption hinders any positive steps taken in preventing harm to beautiful Earth.

Man harms Earth as he knows he lives only for less than 100 years. He believes that he will not be born afterwards. What happens after his death is not his concern. As long as he and his family earns more than many others, the future is secure for his family and descendants. It is so even if Earth degrades terribly. Man tries destruction of public's environment and earns enough to create own new artificial environment.

Answer to the question is that man's intelligence and selfishness are the reasons, but not stupidity. If man were as stupid as other animals then Earth would have remained almost same as when it was created.
