Baking soda is produced from two sets of reaction -
NH3 + CO2 + H2O = NH4HCO3
NH4HCO3 + NaCl = NaHCO3 + NH4Cl
The complete reaction is --
NH3 + H2O+CO2 + NaCl = NH4Cl+ NaHCO3
( Sorry, actually there is no arrow in my keyboard, so I gave the equal sign in place of arrow and the nos. are the atomicity, ie. they will be below the elements)
