In the story my lost dollar narrator lends one dollar to one of his friend who later forgets about that. But narrator keeps on reminding him about that but could not rouse borrower's memory. At last he loses hope but he is such a courageous person he thinks he will not let this ruin their friendship he will forget that one dollar which shows the kind heart of the narrator. But then he thinks he might also be forgotten many of the loans and starts to bring reforms in his own self first.
